Our Mission & Mandate
The College Sports Commission was established following the landmark House v. NCAA settlement, approved by a federal court on June 6, 2025. The NCAA Division I Board of Directors adopted new bylaws to implement the settlement’s terms — and CSC is the independent body charged with enforcing them.
We oversee revenue share reporting and roster management via the College Athlete Payment System (CAPS), evaluate and approve NIL deals for compliance via NIL Go, investigate potential violations, administer penalties, and operate the neutral arbitration system that lets student-athletes challenge our decisions.
